Frederic Savoie is an associate at Greenspoon Bellemare LLP and a member of both the Litigation and Business Law groups.
His litigation practice focuses on corporate and commercial as well as real estate disputes, where he is called upon to make representations before the Courts of Quebec.
As part of his practice, Frederic also works on deals where he advises local and foreign clients for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, distribution and franchising contracts, real estate and infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Greenspoon Bellemare LLP, Frederic trained and worked with the Litigation and Arbitration group of major international law firms in London and Paris where he handled complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes in a wide range of sectors, such as banking and finance, energy and natural resources, real estate, engineering and technology. Frederic also assisted arbitral tribunals sitting under the aegis of the ICSID, ICC and UNCITRAL.
Frederic holds a Bachelor of Sciences from McGill University in addition to both LLB (cum laude) and JD from the joint civil and common law program at Université de Montréal. He also earned a Diploma in English Law from The University of Birmingham (U.K.) and a Diploma in International Arbitration from Pennsylvania State University (U.S.A.). He is admitted to practice law in Québec since 2012 and is fluent in English and French.
Frederic is a member of the Young Bar Association of Montreal (YBAM), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) and the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP).
